McLean Appointed Patron of Racer Industries QTCC

The Brisbane Collission Centre Queensland Touring Car Championship is pleased to welcome, experienced racer, Cameron McLean to the category, as the championships’ official series patron.

McLean has been a prominent figure in Australian Motorsport for over two decades now, and has been a regular fixture at Queensland events over the last two years - most notably teaming up with Scott McLennan in the Queensland Endurance Championship.

He has a storied racing career - having previously competed in Sports Sedans, the Australian Super Touring Championship, for both BMW and the factory Volvo team, and, of course, over many years, he was either a main game, or an endurance driver, in the Supercars Championship.

When he wasn't competing in his own Greenfield Mowers Falcon, McLean raced, as a co-driver, for some of the biggest names in the sport, like Ford Performance Racing, Dick Johnson Racing, Garry Rogers Motorsport, and Stone Brothers Racing.

In 2019, McLean will offer his expertise from the other side of the fence, and will be present at all Queensland Touring Car Championship events.

McLean has said that he is greatly looking forward to working with the committee, and the drivers, of this growing series, throughout 2019.
